Hey Roland, while we do have a kit like that for your 1996 Chevy K1500 3 door extended cab, the Aries Round Nerf Bars - 3" # AA204018-2 is only for regular cab. For yours, you'll instead want # AA204001-2 which is identical aside from the different length for your configuration.

While I don't have the length handy, you can easily find out by measuring from one body mount bolt/flange to the other body mount bolt/flange. This is where the ends of the running boards bolt up as you can see in the attached photos, so this will be a spot on accurate measurement of the bar length.

Did you already have old running boards on the truck, Roland?
