Are There Replacement Q Clips For My Q Tower Roof Rack For My 2012 Volkswagen Golf?

I just bought a 2012 Volkswagen golf Tdi I’d like to transfer my Q tower roof bars but it looks like I might need new clips. Do you have the part numbers for new clips. I have Q35, and 128 stamped on my clips thank you

Hey Matt,

I did some digging on your specific vehicle. Yakima considers the Q towers as a historical fit. Meaning they stopped producing those and moved over to their new baseline towers. With that said I was able to find some information on what clips are needed for your 2012 Volkswagen Golf. The Yakima Q120 Clips # Y00720 are the correct set, however there is another set needed for your vehicle that is the Q96 clips. Those we do not carry and I am not sure if Yakima has old stock or not so I would recommend reaching out to them for that. It looks like for your vehicle you need a 2 set of both the Q120 and Q96 clips.

We can get the Q120 to you, but the other set you would need to reach out directly to Yakima to see if it is still available.

Hey Matt, did you have any luck getting the Q96 clips from Yakima for your Golf? I'm asking because it could help others who are trying to fit their Q towers on similar vehicles.
