Suspension Enhancement Recommendation for 2010 GMC Savana 1500 Towing Travel Trailer

Updated 09/02/2025 | Published 08/13/2025

Question:

I recently acquired a 2010 GMC Savanna 1500 conversion van to tow my 24foot travel trailer which weighs about 4000 pounds with a spec hitch weight of 495 pounds. I had been towing it no problems with a 2000 Chevy Express conversion van but the Savannah is definitely sagging in the rear. Will this product fit and address this problem?

Hey Ken, yes the RoadActive suspension kit part # RAS2611-V that you referenced is exactly what you are looking for to give you the additional suspension support you are needing. Of all the suspension enhancement kits available the RAS kits are my favorite because you get all the support you need to prevent sagging without any downsides. Unlike all other options this improves ride quality loaded and unloaded as well as improve handling.

Hey Ken, how did the RoadActive suspension kit work out for your GMC Savanna? I'm curious to know if it helped with the sagging issue, as your experience could be valuable for others facing a similar situation.
