Will this ladder work with my2024 colorado, with the storage compartment built into the end of the inside of the tailgate? Thanks

No, I am sorry it will not. The Westin Truck-Pal Fold-Up Bed Ladder item # 10-3000 is going to block the ability to open the storage compartment on your 2024 Chevrolet Colorado. The mounting bracket is going to cover the edge of the lid and even if it didn't the ladder would have to be let down every time you get into the storage compartment.
The HitchMate TruckStep XL Extendable Hitch Mount Step for 2" Hitch - 11" x 8" - 500 lbs item # HE4037 is going to be my only other alternative solution. It will attach to your Colorado's rear hitch and it has the ability to extend out past your tailgate.
