Replacement AC Units for a Dual Zone Dometic AC System

Question:
I have a large 2020 FR xlr boost fifth wheel toy hauler. I have one 15,000 btu ac unit main and one 13,500 in the master bed. I was told they both are leaking oil and the main one is causing the breaker on the generator to pop. I was wondering what the best replacement ac would be? obviously i think the Dometic units are junk. So please if you can help.

Hey Paul, thanks for the information. The best option to replace your dysfunctional Dometic AC units is with the Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System item # FR84FJ 15,000 Btu or item # FR77FJ for a 13,500 btu system.
The Furrion Chill air conditioner system lets you independently adjust the temperature of two zones within your RV. It is compatible with ducted and ductless systems. These kits include two ACs, two air distribution boxes, two multi zone controllers, and a multi zone wall thermostat.
Are your AC units controlled through one thermostat or are they controlled individually at the air distribution boxes?

They are controlled by separate thermostats. The difference being the one in the main room also controls the furnace. Thanks for a great answer. On a second note I had an Rv mobile mechanic look at these and told me they were leaking oil. Me being an auto mechanic for many years thought the worst and thought the a/c compressor was leaking oil which was odd because this is pretty much a sealed system. He took pictures a sent them to me. Come to find out there was oil residue on the shaft of the electric motor and was collecting dirt. Now I’m back to square one. When I turn the main a/c on it comes on but when the compressor kicks on it causes the main breaker to pop on the 5500 warr onan generator. Could be dirty condenser or low on coolant not sure at this point. I’m going to try and get a second opinion. Again Thanks
