Replacement Latch for 1997 Exiss Horse Trailer

Question:

I have a 1997 Exiss horse trailer that I would like to replace the locking entry door latch. The existing cutout is approximately 5 w x 4 3/4 h. Do you have a latch that will fit?

Hey Mary! Thank you for providing the cutout dimensions. The Bauer Products Camper Door Lock # BA65FR is the closest fit requiring a 5-1/4" wide x 4-1/2" tall cutout so it will work. However, you will have to enlarge the width by 1/4". Your additional 1/4" of height you have won't be an issue since the face of the latch will cover it on both sides. Hey Mary, did you have a chance to install the Bauer door lock on your Exiss trailer? I'm curious to know how it worked out for you, as it might help others with similar trailers.
