Question:
Hi, if I gave you the VIN and model number of an EZ Loader boat trailer, can you tell me what leaf springs and hardware I need to replace them? Ive tried to contact EZ Loader and no one responds.

Hello Casey,
I can definitely suggest the right parts, but I am not going to be able to do it with the VIN, you will need to measure them and also check the capacity of your axle. When you measure the leaf springs from center eye to center eye you want them to be unloaded, so will need to jack your trailer up to get the weight off the axle to get an accurate measurement. The leaf springs do stretch out over time, so it is normal for your measurement to be about an inch longer than what you need to order.
For example, if your axle/axles are rated for 3,500 pounds and your eye to eye measurement is around 26" you will need the 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 3,500-lb Trailer Axles - 25-1/8" Long # e54SR.
For U-Bolts, I know that EZ loader uses the square axles, you will most likely need the CE Smith U-Bolt Kit for Mounting 1-1/2" Square Trailer Axles - 3-3/8" Long U-Bolts - Zinc # CE23102. I attached an image of the dimensions so you can confirm they are the right size for your axle.
I am sorry I am not able to just get the part numbers from the VIN, would be sweet if I could as it would make my job a lot easier. Let me know what measurements you come up with so that I can confirm the parts for you. Also, how many axles do you have, and what is the center hole to center hole measurement on your shackle straps?
