Recommended Platform Rack for a 2019 Ford Transit Connect XLT

Hi. My 2019 transit connect XLT has unthreaded fixed mounts. Would this kit be compatible, and are there any extra parts needed to install it to unthreaded mounts? Thank you!

Hey Tom. The Front Runner Slimline II Platform Rack item # FR53FV attaches to four holes on each side of your 2019 Transit Connect XLT's roof. According to the instructions, I attached below, these holes are covered by plugs. However, they're supposed to be threaded to accept a standard 8mm hex bolt.
If the holes in your roof beneath the plugs are not threaded then the item # FR53FV will not work for you and I do not have a solution that does.
After looking at the instructions are you talking about something different or does your roof not have those holes threaded?

Yep, somehow mine are unthreaded. I think I'll take the vehicle back to the dealer and report a defect!
