Hello Andrew, thanks for reaching out. The TireMinder TPMS sensors are fine to use with rubber valve stems. The sensors are not heavy enough to cause issues. That said, the Wheel Masters Support Brackets for Rubber Valve Stems # WM8029VS will help to increase stability and reduce vibration at the valve stem so those would be a good add on to use in tandem with your TPMS.

Hey Andrew, did you decide to use the Wheel Masters Support Brackets with your TireMinder TPMS sensors? I'd love to know if they helped with stability and vibration, as it could give others confidence when ordering replacements.

@JesseM sorry no I did not end up using the support brackets because I ended up trading in my camper for a newer model and no longer needed them. But what I can say is that when I removed the sensors from the old camper you can definitely tell that the sensors are bending the valve stem far enough for the sensors to make contact with the wheel. The sensors wore marks into the paint of all 4 wheels so if you have rubber valve stems I strongly recommend looking into either metal valve stems or som type of support for a rubber valve stem. It is possible that the wheel masters support brackets would work I just cannot confirm this.

@Andrew Ok thanks for sharing! I have heard of this happening with rubber valve stems before. A metal valve stem would definitely be more sturdy. I will keep this in mind going forward since we do deal with TMPS pretty frequently.
