Hey James! The Advent Air Low Profile RV AC # ASA86YR might work as a replacement for your Dometic FreshJet 3. However, there have been so many compatibility issues with Dometic we can no longer guarantee it will work as a direct swap. What we recommend instead is a complete replacement.
Right now is a great time to switch since everything is moving to new R32 units following the 2025 EPA requirements. This also means parts for the old R410A units are being phased out. Even if the # ASA86YR worked you may find yourself needing a complete system if the ADB or thermostat failed.
For a complete R32 system we have the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner System # ADV92SR or the low profile version # ADV82SR. Both come with a new ADB, thermostat, and start capacitor. A heat strip # ADV34QR is also available separately. I understand this cost is a little bit higher but again, if you encounter something like an ADB failure and the parts are no longer available you're going to end up needing another full system.
