Will Shocker Hitch Air 2-Ball Mount Work With Rock Tamers/Blue Ox Receiver Mounted Mud Flap

I have a 2022 F450 pulling a 2023 Airstream Globetrotter 27’. I’m thinking about getting the shocker Air Hitch HD. I also use 96” towing mud flap that attaches to a 2” hitch. I was wondering it this would still fit this air hitch? Also, which hitch do you suggest? Thanks

Hey Michael, welcome back! The design of the Shocker Hitch HD # SHK45VR does not allow for compatibility with your # BLU49UR or Rock Tamers that mount on the receiver. The two parts will interfere with each other and there won't be enough clearance. Have you looked at Gen-Y?
You could use the Gen-Y Torsion 2-Ball Mount w/ Stacked Receivers # 325-GH-1024. This will be similar to the shocker hitch and won't interfere with the mud flaps. It is designed for trailers with a tongue weight of 500 lbs - 1,100 lbs so it will work with your 2023 Airstream Globetrotter 27FB.

Hey Michael, did you have a chance to try out the Gen-Y Torsion 2-Ball Mount with your Airstream? I'm curious to know how it worked out for you, as it could help others with similar setups.
