Is The Optronics LED Utility Touch Light UCL60CSBB Ok To Be Exposed To Water?
Updated 05/09/2025 | Published 05/06/2025 >
Question:
We bought a optronic touch light and put it on the side of our travel trailer but it seems like when it rains it will come on by itself. The one we got was not waterproof so will this one do the same thing or because it says waterproof or submersible it will not. Thank you

Hello Kathy, thanks for reaching out. Really odd that rain would cause your light to come on by itself. I have never heard of this before. Could it be water is getting inside the camper and there is a short somewhere that is allowing power to get to the light? It is perplexing. I do recommend you get that looked at and make sure everything is properly sealed.
That said, the Optronics LED Utility Touch Light # UCL60CSBB is a submersible light so water would not affect it. The light is not rain activated lol.

This is not inside the trailer. This is mounted outside, replacing a light that was motion activated.
