How Does Handle Release Jaws of Curt PowerRide 30k Hitch

Question:
I have a brand new curt 5th wheel hitch 30k power ride hitch. Just completed the install and handle won’t open to allow me to hook up. I have made sure to unlock the handle but it won’t open.

Hey Steve, the handle release of the Curt PowerRide like the part # C49VJ is a little odd. You have to pull out and then pull it back. Have you watched the end of the review attached down below? Around 4:44 you can see our review guy Jeff releasing it.
