What Bike Rack do You have with the Highest Weight Capacity for 4 Bikes, 2 Heavy e-bikes?

Question:

I just purchased 2 ebikes that are 77lbs each with their batteries 68lb if battery removed and have 2 smaller bikes that are 44lbs each. Is this the only 4 bike rack you have that would come close to handling those weights?

Hello Mike,

I just double-checked the racks we carry, and the Yakima StageTwo Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount - Black # Y88TD has the highest weight capacity available.

That said, I’d recommend double-checking the weight of your bikes, if they’re over 40 lbs each, I can’t recommend this rack. Also, you’ll definitely need to remove the batteries from your e-bikes. That’s actually recommended by most e-bike manufacturers, not just for weight reduction, but also for safety during transport.

Yakima was here just a couple of weeks ago to get us familiar with some of their new products, and I had the chance to test out this rack firsthand, loading and unloading bikes. Honestly, it's the nicest rack I've worked with. I promise it won't disappoint.

You might also want to grab the License Plate and Tail Light Kit for Yakima StageTwo Bike Rack # Y59VR to keep things legal and visible. Last thing you need is to be late to the trail because one of our men in blue decided to have a chat!
