Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 24863 can be used for a bike rack or to tow a light trailer. It is rated for 2,000 pounds gross trailer weight and 200 pounds tongue weight. You would need to check the owners manual for your 2012 Ford Mustang to determine the vehicle capacities. Always go by the lowest rating.
This is a Class I trailer hitch so any accessories you use such as a bike rack or cargo carrier will need to be Class I rated. For a bike rack a Class I hitch can only handle up to 2 bikes at most. I have included a link to the bike racks that hold 2 bikes and are compatible with a Class I trailer hitch.
