Hey Chris, unfortunately the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit # C16427-104 is not going to fit since this kit was designed for 2016-2025 Ram 2500's.
For your '04 Ram 2500 with the short bed, you're going to want the Curt Universal Fifth Wheel Base Rails with Installation Kit # C16200 and the bracket kit # C16301 if you have overload springs. But, if you don't have overload springs, then you can forget about that last kit.
