Info says it fits a 535. WIll it fit a 550? Want to carry bikes with my bike rack. Thanks!

Yes, Curt trailer hitch # C11381 will fit your 2011 BMW 550! If you want to use the hitch for an accessory such as a bike rack or cargo carrier then you have to make sure the accessory is rated for use with a Class I trailer hitch. Also, with a bike rack, you are limited to 2 bikes maximum on a Class I hitch.
Curt also says you have to use stabilization strap # 18050 when using this hitch for any non-trailer load (such as a bike rack or cargo carrier) per their warranty requirements. I have linked some videos showing how this works.
