How to Remove the Tailgate of a 2009 Chevy Silverado

Question:
In trying to remove the tailgate, it appears that the tailgate hinge on the bottom left drivers side is spring loaded or something as the tailgate will not just lift up like the right side does

Since you already have the passenger side of the tailgate of your 2009 Chevy Silverado off all you need to do is move the tailgate to the right to get it to slide off of the hinge and then it will be totally off.
