Question:

I am looking at the Gorilla Guard coupler locks,code# 63228 or #63227....but have a fit issue...Ill explain... I have a 2 5/16 Ball coupler on my Trailer. The coupler is made by Demco and is an EZ latch...part # BC21014 the widest part of the coupler is 3.75 wide. I tried a Master Lock 35AT...which is very similar to the Gorilla Guard....and it is made to fit a 2 5/16 Ball...unfortunately it does not fit...at all. Looking at the Gorilla Guard coupler locks they make a 2 and a 2 5/16...here is my question, ...upon reading the few specs given, it seems to me that the 2 coupler lock #63228 would fit best because of the widest part of coupler flange on the Demco being only 3.75 wide. Do you agree? what are your thoughts? thx

The Gorilla Guard for 2 inch couplers, part # 63228, would be so snug it would not be easy to get on and off, not to mention the curved portion up front may not fit the larger 2-5/16 coupler nose.

The Gorilla Guard for 2-5/16 inch couplers, part # 63227, would be a better fit, though it will accept couplers of a greater width than yours, it should not be loose enough that it would not be able to prevent theft.

You could also look into a different style of lock. I have included a link to a page with all our coupler locks for 2-5/16 inch couplers.
