Replacement 29-1/2" Leaf Spring Rated for a 5.2K Axle

Updated 10/30/2025 | Published 02/24/2025

Question:

I am trying to measure for new hook end slipper springs, but things arent adding up. I have 5,200 axles, but they have 29.5 inch hook end slippers, 6 leaf. This is an older trailer, so not sure if it was ever up or down-graded.

Hey Dan, thanks for reaching out!

It's possible someone had upgraded your leaf springs to 8K like what we see with the etrailer # e39SR, but even if that's the case I recommend reaching out to your local trailer shop to see if they are able to order some custom leaf springs for you. Our selection is fairly limited, so we don't have one with the length and weight rating you need which is why I recommend having a shop order one directly for you.

Hey Dan, were you able to find a shop that could order the custom leaf springs for your trailer? Knowing what solution worked could help others with older setups facing the same issue.
