Shut Off Switch for Badlands 9000 Winch

Question:
For a 2003 Dodge Ram HD 2500 crew cab Cummins turbo diesel. Winch is a Badlands 9000 lb. See uploaded amperage chart.winch is to be a removable winch attached to 2” tow hitch. What is the maximum constant amperage of the clips for this rear winch connection.? What do you recommend if I wanted an off/on switch for the power to cables? A switch under hood would be fine. Should a fuse be used on the cables? If so what do you recommend?

Hey Marc, that is a pretty high drawing winch. I would actually verify with Badlands how thick of wire you'd need to use at 20 feet to ensure you don't over draw it. Your winch should have breakers built into it that would not require additional fuses.
In meantime we do have a 400 amp rated shut off switch with the part # BDW20247 that would work for you.
