Question:
5 wires coming from truck. Red. White. Blue Light blue w/ white strip and an orange. 4 wires coming from controller. Camping world guy says leave the light blue one alone. Rv dealer says leave light blue alone. Retailer online says to use the light blue one and leave orange one alone

The Light Blue/White wire on your 2012 GMC Acadia should be connected to the red wire from the Brake Controller and the function is the brake output to the trailer. The Orange wire is not used.
