Question:
Hello, I am looking to install a Prodigy 3 brake controller in a 2020 F150. It appears that this is the correct harness but I am hoping to get some clarification on the install process. My understanding is that there should be a connection behind the cubbie where the OEM brake controller would normally be installed. Is this the connection I need or will there be another under the drives side somewhere? Nothing required to run to battery or fuse box correct?

Hey Greg! The Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter item # 22292 is exactly what you need to connect the Prodigy P3 item # 90195. This port is present on all 2020 Ford F-150's that came with either a 4-way or 7-way factory trailer connector. You will not have it if you had to install an after-market 4-Way connector.
The port you're looking for is located below the steering column on the right hand side. I have linked an installation video we did below and if you skip ahead to the 2:38 mark you will see our installer pull it out from behind the dash.
Additionally, the 2015+ Ford F-Series Pick-Ups have what is called a SmartTow feature that prevents power from supplying the trailer connector most of the time. You will need to run a dedicated power wire from the battery to the trailer connector and all you will need for this is the Power Wire Kit for Electric Trailer Brake Controllers item # BRK-ELECKIT. You'll want to cut out the black wire from the harness you have now and connect it the wire of this kit and then connect it directly to the battery with the included ring terminals.
