Should Aftermarket Transmission Cooler Install After or Before OEM Cooler
Updated 01/13/2025 | Published 01/14/2025 >
Question:
I understand the return line connection but it’s not clear if you are going through the existing transmission cooler or are bypassing the factory cooler? The video is dark. Can you provide a diagram or some clarification? Thank you

Hey Anthony, your absolute best option is to run the aftermarket cooler after the OEM cooler to maximize cooling efficiency. If you run it the other way you actually end up reheating the fluid since the OEM cooler is integrated into the radiator which is hotter due to proximity to coolant. I attached a diagram that hopefully makes a bit more sense but if you have other questions let me know.
