Can Yakima HitchSki Be Used With Malone Runway Spare Tire Bike Rack MPG2148?

Will this bike carrier hold the Yakima HitchSki Ski Carrier?

Hello Johanna, thanks for reaching out. The Malone Runway Spare Tire Bike Rack # MPG2148 will not work with the Yakima HitchSki # Y02418. The HitchSki can only be used with Yakima brand dual-arm hitch mounted bike racks. The Malone Runway is a dual arm rack, but it is not hitch mounted so it would not work. The hitch mount is much more secure and sturdy than the tire mount. You would want to use the HitchSki with the Yakima BigHorn, DoubleDown, FlipSide, SwingDaddy, Ridgeback, KingPin, Fulltilt and Fullswing. Those are the only approved hitch racks.
