Recommended Hitch and Wiring for a 2019 Buick Cascada

Updated 11/03/2025 | Published 01/04/2025

Question:

I cannot find any information about the towing capacity of a 2019 Buick Cascada. I know you make a Class I hitch which could be used for bicycle carriers or luggage carriers but I want to tow a small motorcycle trailer, The trailer weighs 650 lbs and my largest motorcycle weighs 845 lbs. I currently have a Lincoln MKC but I am considering the Buick because I like a convertible. Thanks for any information you can provide.

Hey Gene! The 2019 Buick Cascada convertible has a pretty low towing capacity at 2,000 lbs. This is common amongst smaller cars that size.

The Curt Trailer Hitch item # C11441 is our only option for the Cascada. It is a class I hitch with a 1-1/4" receiver. It has a 2,000 lbs towing capacity and a 200 lbs maximum tongue weight. It will definitely work with your 1,495 lbs trailer.

I have linked an installation video below so you can see how to get it set up.

Since you are planning on towing you will also need a wiring harness item # 119250KIT and a ball mount kit item # e47DR.

Hey Gene, how did things go with the Curt hitch and wiring setup on your Cascada? I’m curious if the towing capacity and accessories worked well for your motorcycle trailer. Your update could make it easier for others considering a similar setup.
