Are Wheel Trays On The Original Yakima OnRamp And New OnRamp LX Interchangeable?

Hello. I have a Yakima Onramp bike ramp and was wondering if you have had any experience if you can replace the standard bike tray with the Onramp XL ramp? Adding a Fat tire ebike and the Onramp XL tray would work much better than the standard tray.

Hey Steve, thanks for getting in touch. I am not entirely clear on what you are asking here, but it sounds like you have the original Yakima OnRamp bike rack # Y96FR and you are wanting to swap out the wheel trays for the new Yakima OnRamp LX # Y88DJ wheel trays. If so, the answer would be no since the wheel trays are not interchangeable between the two racks. The loading ramp is not interchangeable either. If you are needing a rack to accommodate a fat tire e-bike the best option will be to upgrade to the new OnRamp LX # Y88DJ.
