For towing purposes you only want to use a weight distribution system. Using air bags as well can cause handling problems as the two systems will be working against each other. Air bags should only be used to supplement the vehicle suspension when there is a heavy load in the bed of your 2006 Ford F-150.
Using air bags with a trailer isn't recommended because the air bags act as a fulcrum and unweight the front axle of the tow vehicle.
Your best option would be to deflate the air bags in your truck to the minimum pressure and use the WD hitch when towing the trailer. And then when you have a heavy load in the bed of your truck use the air bags.
