Question:

I have a 2018 Subaru Forester with no existing rails. Will this fit? Additionally is this universal so I could move it to my wife’s 2016 Kia Sedona (also no existing rails)? Thanks

Hi Jason; I'm not sure if you were referencing a specific roof rack but I have two options for your 2018 Subaru Forester. If you plan on keeping the roof rack on all or most of the time I recommend the following:

-Yakima SkyLine Roof Rack for Fixed Mounting Points - JetStream Crossbars - Aluminum - Black # Y27TB.

This roof rack comes with the Yakima JetStream crossbars which are extremely quiet so you won't have so much constant noise with the rack mounted on your vehicle. If you only plan to keep the rack on when you need it then it would be better to save some money and get the Inno Aero Roof Rack for Fixed Mounting Points # IN89PR.

Regarding the 2016 Kia Sedona, none of the standard roof racks will be able to cross over. If you had the flush rails you could make it work with a few extra parts but with the naked roof it isn't possible. The only solution would be to use the SeaSucker Monkey Bars Roof Rack # SEA99FR which vacuums to the top and could fit both vehicles.
