Question:

I am looking for a hitch to carry 2 bicycles. The car is a 2013 BMW 335i convertible with an M package. Will one of your hitches work?

There are currently no hitches that fit the 2013 BMW 335i convertible M series but I do have a recommendation that will allow you to carry 2 bikes without a hitch.

Even though the vehicle is a convertible you can still use a trunk mount bike rack such as the Thule Gateway Pro # TH88VR. This rack holds 2 bikes and features the latest and greatest cradle technology to better protect the bikes. Since it is a trunk mount, the M package should not make a difference in the fit.

Make sure the rack and vehicle are clean where they will touch each other. Adding a coat of wax to the vehicle will also protect it.

If you will be carrying any bikes that do not have a top frame bar that goes straight across (like a typical men's bike would) then I recommend using bike adapter bar # TH982XT. This will allow you to carry those bikes more level and will provide better ground clearance. I have to use these adapters and without them my wife's bike would be at a severe angle and I would not be able to load my son's bike at all. I have linked a video showing how the adapter works.
