Recommended E-Bike Rack w/ Ramp for a RAD E-Bike

Updated 11/17/2025 | Published 12/01/2024

Question:

I am looking for a bike rack for my RAD e-bike weighs approx. 60 lbs that i can transport by myself without having to lift it. I have considered getting a pick-up truck and a ramp because i am not able to find anything, but thought id give it one last shot here on your site. FYI-currently have the Thule rack w/ramp and find it too awkward and clumsy to use. thank you!

Hey Vicki! It sounds like you have the Easyfold bike rack item # TH903202 and I have a way better option for you. For your 60 lbs RAD e-bike, I recommend the Yakima OnRamp LX Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes item # Y88DJ. This bike rack has a built in ramp and an 80 lbs per bike capacity. This bike rack is way less bulky and easier to get set up. It does have a similar attachment method with padded clamps. I think this is by far the best feature the EasyFold has and Yakima has improved on it.

I have linked a review video below so you can see the features of this bike rack demonstrated.

Hey Vicki, how did things go with the Yakima OnRamp LX bike rack for your RAD e-bike? Was it easier to handle than your Thule rack? Your feedback could really help others looking for a simpler way to load heavy e-bikes.
