How compact can this get? I like to plan out the space I need to get everything packed up.

Hey Wayne,
The Goal Zero Crush Light Solar Lantern # 287-32012 measures out to be 4-15/16" tall x 4-15/16" wide x 5/8" deep when it's in the stored position. The "deep" dimension is really how high the product sits because that's the only dimension that changes (to 3-15/16" deep) when it's in the in-use position.
