I have a 1997 Toyota 4runner, should the hitch come with 4 or 8 bolts for installation?

The Curt Hitch part # 13157 comes with 4 bolts. 8 bolts total get used to install this hitch on your 1997 Toyota 4Runner. The other 4 bolts are existing M12 bolts from your vehicle that you will reuse. Check out the install instructions I attached.
For trailer wiring you would want the Tow Ready Wiring Harness part # 118341.
For a ball mount, hitch ball, and pin and clip, I would recommend the etrailer Ball Mount Kit, part # 989900. This is a kit which includes 2 ball mounts, a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, and a hitch pin and clip.
