For a 2006 Chevy Silverado 2500HD you will need brake controller wiring harness # 3015-P for a Tekonsha, Reese, or Draw-Tite brake controller.
Chevy trucks also some times need additional connections under the hood to make everything fully functional. I have included a link to a help article that explains this for you. I have also included a link to a video showing the harness being installed on a similar truck.
