Updated 12/15/2025 | Published 11/01/2024 >
Question:
Hi. I currently have Rhinorack vortex bars and am looking to haul a fishing kayak..80lbs and 28 wide. The Malone mega wings are not wide enough. Thoughts on saddles that could work?

Hey Brian, so for a kayak carrier that has the capacity for your 80 lb kayak I would go with the Rhino Rack # S512 which is a confirmed fit for your Vortex crossbars. This is a J-style carrier though and not a saddle style.
