ShortStop 12v W29 50amp Circuit Breaker - What Does W29 Designation Mean And Recommended Replacement

Question:

My battery charger has shortstop 12v w29 50A auto reset breaker. I have found similar parts available but Im not able to find an exact replacement with the w29 . Im not sure what that particular designation means but can you recommend an equivalent replacement?

Hello David, thanks for reaching out. What you have there is a 50 amp circuit breaker. The W29 designation on your breaker is a date code/batch number, so the replacement breaker is not required to have the same designation. As long as it is a12v 50 amp breaker it will do fine. We offer one, the Pollak # PK54250PL which is what I recommend for a replacement.
