Question:
I bought this model 500708 a few years back and yesterday the motor on one side stopped working. Troubleshooting? Motor diagram? Can I replace the motor only and is it available?

Hey Michelle,
It doesn't look like we currently offer a replacement motor for your Reese electric landing gear set, but I can tell you how to test to see if the motor is the problem. You'll want to grab a multimeter # PT89ZR and test the power wire running to that particular motor. You'll need to have someone else pressing the switch so that power is being sent to the motor. If you find you have power going to the motor but it isn't working then it likely is the problem and needs to be replaced. You can also check the ground to see if it's possibly loose or if the connection to the frame is corroded.
If you don't have power running to that motor then you'll need to trace the wire from the motor back to the switch and see if there's a cut or short somewhere in the wire. It doesn't look like we offer the correct replacement motor so I would reach out to Reese and see if they can ship one to you.
