Can I Swap Out the Tires on a 2024 Geo Pro 19FD Trailer so it Fits Through a 98" Opening?

Updated 12/22/2025 | Published 10/01/2024

Question:

I am considering purchasing a travel trailer - a 2024 Geo Pro 19FD. I only want to make this purchase if I can store it in available garage space with a 10ft door about 98 clearance. The manufacturer has the trailer at about 118 inches, so I need to shave off some height. The trailer has a 5X4.5 bolt pattern. I want to be able to swap on the lowest rim/tire combo possible. These tire an rims would only be on the unit to move it into the storage building, NOT for road travel. What do you recommend? Thanks!

Hey Ted that's not going to work. A 2024 Geo Pro 19FD trailer comes with 15" tires like item # AM32424. These measure 27.3" tall. If you took the tires off of that trailer it still wouldn't be able to fit through a 98" opening because you're only gaining 1/3" of that distance when you account for the body, axle, suspension, landing gear, and all the other stuff underneath the trailer. Smaller tires aren't going to give you the solution you're looking for.

The only solution I have for you is a cover. The best one for your 20' trailer is going to be the Adco SFS AquaShed RV Cover for Travel Trailers up to 22' Long item # 290-52241.

Hey Ted, how did things go with the Adco AquaShed cover for your Geo Pro trailer? Your update could make it easier for others trying to protect their trailer when indoor storage isn’t an option.
