Availability of Roof Rack for 2023 Kia Sportage With Naked Roof

Have you had success with 2023 Kia Sportages using this system? I am having problems finding roof racks that are approved for that model’s naked roofs. I am not sure why the fit would be so challenging. Thanks.

Hello Derek; the answer you're referring to is a little older so it is possible Thule listed that rack as a fit at some point and pulled it down. I went ahead and pulled it down since one way or another it is no longer correct. At this time, there are no roof racks available for the 2023 Sportage with a naked roof.
I would check with Kia to see if you can add the the flush or raised rails factory rails so you can mount a roof rack like the Thule WingBar Evo Roof Rack # TH34QG (for flush rails) or Yakima # Y39YD (for raised rails). From what I found in some forums the mounting points are there for the rails so I believe it is possible to add them without extensive work.
