Question:

Hi I have a 2020 F150 XLT with a soft roll up tanneau cover. I want to install a headache rack to protect my back window when I load and haul things. What headache rack can I install or get that is compatible and or is there an adaptor kit to make it possible to install a headache rack with the soft roll up tanneau cover?

Hey Jacobus thanks for the question! I am not sure what tonneau cover you have but we do have two headache racks that are compatible with them and your 2020 Ford F-150 XLT. These mount to the stake pockets on the top of your truck bed sides. In order for these to work your tonneau cover has to leave the stake pockets exposed like item # TX598301. I have listed the two options below:

Aries AdvantEdge Headache Rack item # AA1110102

Aries Switchback Headache Rack item # AA68VB

I have attached the installation instructions for both these headache racks so you can see if this is going to work for your set up.

Hey Jacobus, did either of the Aries headache racks end up working with your soft roll-up tonneau cover on the F-150? Knowing what fit best could really help others trying to pair a rack with a similar cover.

@JerredH hi yes the one Aries works amazing with the soft cover can't remember what the model number is but its the one with the 3 pannels and the middle one that is removable. I have a picture not sure how to add it here. Looks amazing as well.
