Are There Any Troubleshooting Steps For A Drive RV Stereo System That Isn't Functioning Correctly

Question:

I have a Drive DVD system in our 2019 Sunset 29ft rv. Never used out TV until this year. Safe to say its not warrantied at this time. It doesnt play dads. Sometimes it loads and the audio is distorted, like itll play the voice but cuts out during background noise in the movie. Other times it wont load anything. Some movies load and others dont. The few that do load play sometimes and the next time it doesnt. Its not the dvds. Im thinking the Lazer needs realignment. Any suggestions?

Hey Jeff,

There unfortunately isn't anything you can do to fix an RV stereo unless you personally had the knowledge, tools, and parts to replace the internal components. Aside from power cycling the system all you can really do is just replace it. If you're at that point and need help finding a replacement then pull it from the wall and measure the cutout hole. Once we know how big your model is we can look for an alternative that won't give you the same issues.

Hey Jeff, did you get a chance to measure the cutout for your Drive DVD system yet? Once you have that size, it’ll be easier to match a replacement that fits your RV. Your update could make it easier for others dealing with the same issue.
