Question:

Hey etrailer Experts. I am retired and spend most of my days fishing and came across this part on your website MOS UpLift Roof Rack Lift Assist w/ Ski and Snowboard Carrier for 6 Pairs of Skis. Can I use it with fishing poles? I am getting too old to be climbing up the side of my Tahoe.

Yes, you can George! The ski rack that comes with the MOS UpLift Roof Rack Lift Assist w/ Ski and Snowboard Carrier for 6 Pairs of Skis item # MR96ZV has been used for many years to transport fishing poles.

The lift assist function on the MOS UpLift Roof Rack item # MR96ZV will lower your fishing poles 2' below the top of your crossbars.

I have attached a couple of pictures below so you can see what the MOS UpLift Roof Rack item # MR96ZV looks like in action. I have also linked the installation instructions so you can see how to get it set up.

Please note that your Tahoe will need to have crossbars that are no larger than 3-1/2" wide by 1-1/2" tall. They will need to be separated by 20" to 39".

Hey George, how did the MOS UpLift Roof Rack work out for carrying your fishing poles on the Tahoe? It sounds like the lift assist could make loading a lot easier. Your feedback could help others looking for a similar setup.
