I have a similar B and W Gooseneck hitch that will work on your 1996 Chevy Truck 3500 with a long bed, but the part # BWGNRK1313-5W is not confirmed to fit your vehicle so I cannot recommend it for you.
You would want the B and W Gooseneck and Underbed Companion Hitch part # BWGNRK1000-5W. This comes with the gooseneck hitch and ball, for a compatible fifth wheel hitch you would want the B and W Hitch part # BWRVK3500-5W.
