Question:
I have a 13 CU ft Dometic Gas/Electric RV Fridge model RM1350SLMX. Can I remove it from the RV and run it on propane only or does it need 110 or 12v to run?

Hey Doug,
Since we don't offer Dometic's line of RV fridges I don't have the exact answer on whether it's 120v or 12v, but from the instruction manual I could find it does look like your model should require 12v power. Moving the fridge from the RV and using it somewhere else won't matter as long as you just meet it's energy requirements. Just from my personal experience with Dometic fridges in RV's you can typically run the fridge on just propane, except for models that require 12v power. 12v power isn't enough to actually cool/run the fridge and is usually just there to power the fridge's control panel.
You can try reaching out to Dometic to get a definitive answer but I think you'll likely have to connect the fridge to both power and 12v power in order for it to run.

Hey Doug, were you able to confirm with Dometic whether your fridge needs both 12v and propane to run outside the RV? Knowing what you found could help others trying to use their fridge the same way.
