Question:
I have a 1999 Ford Escort SE 5-speed and looking to tow it behind my motorhome, The car has been towed before by the previous owner and has the reciever end of the base plate mounted on the car that look to be, or similar to the roadmaster cross bar style 427-3. I do not have the other s that would mount to the tow bar. In the trunk there is another bar about 3 long which I can not make heads or tails on how it would even fit. The rest of the set-up must have been in the motorhome when they passed. The car also has a receptical on the front for the lighting. I am looking to buy a full set up to tow the car, but also interested if these could be used to spare me the time and work to install new ones. I have taken pictures of what I have but unsure if I could send them here. Looking forward to your timely reply. Thank you,

Hey Kirk, so we have just what you are looking for to replace the arms of your Roadmaster base plate kit with the part # RM-ARMS.
It does sound like the vehicle is wired for a lighting setup already but you would need to match the connector you have now with the correct coiled adapter to get to the tow vehicle.
Most likely what you have is a 6-way round which we have an adapter for that with the part # RM-146-7.

Hey Jameson It looks like the RM-ARMS would likely work. I am researching what I do have and need a few more things to complete what I need. I believe I have mentioned that I have a crossbar in the trunk too, it looks identical to road master 910021-00 but the number on the one I have is 85 1432-00. Are they the same? An older model #? Or do you have the dimensions of the 910021-00 so I can check? I am also looking for a tow bar, brake system and the coil wiring to the car to run lights. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks again Kirk
