Will Redarc Isolator Work With Smart Alternator

Question:
Thier own video says best use with standard alternator not smart alternator , my vehicle has smart alternator, which isolator do I need of not this one? 331-SBI12

Hello Matt,
Correct, the Redarc isolators won't work with smart alternators, and there isn't an isolator that can do so due to the variable output voltage. So I checked with Redarc and what they say is that instead of using an isolator, what you will need instead to transfer power to your auxiliary battery is the Redarc In-Vehicle BCDC Battery Charger # 331-BCDC1225D.
