Hello Robert, thanks for reaching out. For your 2018 Ford Explorer I recommend the CIPA Universal Towing Mirrors # 7070-2. These are clip on mirrors, and they use rubber straps to secure to the mirror. We got a chance to install these on a 2018 Explorer, and I have linked our install video for you below.
