Does Lippert On-The-Go Telescopic Ladder Have Different Bracket Mounting Locations
Updated 02/17/2026 | Published 06/13/2024 >
Question:
Any easy way to move the ladder hooks? They should be two rungs lower to allow you to safely step sideways onto / off of your RV roof. Watch any regular ladder safety video to see what I mean. Getting back onto the ladder from the RV is definitely NOT SAFE. The ladder should extend 3-4foot ABOVE the roof. I have plenty of unused ladder at the bottom.

Hey Bernard, thanks for reaching out!
The Lippert On-The-Go Telescopic Ladder # LC64HD does have the mounting brackets 2 rungs below the top of the ladder, but I do see the case you're making about wanting to lower the brackets even more to make it more comfortable to get back on the ladder from your roof.
I'm not seeing anything in the literature about being able to move the brackets to a different rung, and when I reached out to Lippert about it I still haven't received a response from their tech team so I would say if there doesn't appear to be a pre-made way to move the brackets to a different rung then you'll have to modify something to get your desired outcome.
