Question:

We have a 2005 Chrysler town and country van. We are in need of rails and rack for the vehicle. There is rubber covers along both sides of the van.. But no rails or rack. What would you suggest we buy?

Your 2005 Chrysler Town and Country van could be equipped with three possible roof configurations (factory tracks, raised side rails or nothing at all). From your description is sounds like you have the factory tracks. For this roof style we have rack options that can be seen on the link provided.

A cost-effective basic round bar system is offered from Yakima and consists of parts # Y00408, # Y00224, # Y53TR and # Y03536. Round bars offer excellent compatibility with accessories like bike and kayak carriers and roof cargo boxes.

If you prefer the quietest possible rack system (one that will generate the least wind noise at highway speeds) you can select either of the aerodynamic bar systems shown.

You will want to check your vehicle owner's manual for any information regarding the roof weight capacity, which could be different than the rack's.
