New RV With Global Link Locks - Baggage Doors Will Not Open Easily

Question:

We have a new RV with the Global Link locks but none of the bay doors will open without much effort. Its like the last millimeter of the key wont into the lock and allow it to turn. We ordered a couple of extras and they dont work any better. Is it possible we didnt receive the correct key series or is their a technique Im not using?

That is an interesting question. There is really no secret technique for opening the Global Link locks. You Simply insert the key and turn just like any other lock, at least it should be. If they are giving you that much trouble, it makes me wonder if something is wrong.

It could be you were given the wrong key, although I have never heard of this happening with a new RV. All of the keys should be the same unless there was a mix-up in manufacturing. If they key were wrong, I would expect it to not open at all too. At this point I would have to recommend replacing the locks on the baggage doors. Since your RV is new it might be worth getting in touch with the dealership to see if they can help.
